Results from 9 Hole Swanston Event on Sunday 21st May 2017

6 girls played the Swanston Templar course today in remarkably good conditions considering the weather yesterday! Some good golf was on display. Results were as follows (all scores are gross):

Junior Girls 9 hole event at Swanston Sunday 21st May 2017.

We will be running the usual 9 hole event this Sunday morning at 9,30 on the Swanston Templar (short) course. Sue Cowie will be in charge. Please email Sarah Ledingham at sarah.c.hannay@gmail.com if you are coming so that we can make sure we have enough tee times. Cost is £5. 

Midsummer Foursomes - Monday 15th May Results

On Monday 15th May Midlothian held their annual commonwealth spoons
(Midsummer Foursomes) at Liberton Golf Club.  The weather was not as kind as of the previous week however Liberton Golf Course was in excellent condition with some great scores coming in.  The results are as follows:-

Winners of the Winter fours 2016/17......

The final of the winter fours took place on a sunny afternoon on 20th April between Lynn Wilson & Ray Lynch (Murrayfield) and Katy Lessells and Helen Maxwell (Ravelston) with Lynn and Ray being the eventual winners with a one hole victory.  It was a closely contested match between the Murrayfield ladies and Ravelston ladies.  Congratulations go to Lynn and Ray.  Commiserations to Katy and Helen but well done on reaching the finals nevertheless. 

Murrayfield are Inter Club Champions 2017

Congratulations to Murrayfield who won the Edinburgh Inter Club Tournament today for the first time since 1984.  They beat hosts Broomieknowe in a closely contested final.  In the morning semi-finals Broomieknowe beat Glencorse in a very close match which ended went to the final putt on the final green and Murrayfield overcame Turnhouse.
