Emily makes it to final at Glenisla
Congratulations to Emily Dalgetty (Glencorse) who, having qualified for the Ansley Reid 2nd Flight play competition at the Scottish Girls (Close) Amateur Championship at Glenisla Golf Club, made it all the way to the Final. She was beaten 2&1 this afternoon by Katie McGarva of Troon Ladies (pictured above with Emily) in a very tight match, but played great golf and can be very proud of the way she performed. Emily, who turned 14 just this week, has now reduced her handicap to 11. Happy birthday Emily and well done!

Summer Meeting is Postponed!
Unfortunately due to the freak storm that hit us yesterday, the Summer Meeting has had to be postponed. Craigmillar Park was hit very badly with the burn backing up and spilling over onto the course. Although it is now draining away, it has left a lot of debris on the course, with paths being washed away on to greens and every bunker on the course in a total mess. It will just not be possible to get the course into a satisfactory condition by Monday morning, and more rain is forecast. We apologise for any inconvenience this will cause. We do intend to re-arrange the competition and hope to publish the new date in the next few days - so please keep an eye on this website and/or check with your Midlothian rep. Don't you just love summer!
