Scottish Ladies Amateur Championship

Congratulations to Alyson McKechin from Elderslie on becoming Scottish Champion today by beating Clara Young from North Berwick in the final of the Scottish Ladies Amateur Championship at Longniddry.

Well done also to the 9 Midlothian players who qualified for the Knock out stages of the main event and Clark Rosebowl.

It was especially good to welcome back Rachael Livingstone who, despite having not played much golf in the past couple of years, progressed to the last 16 where she was narrowly beaten on the 19th by the eventual winner, Alyson McKechin.

Special mention and congratulations to Midlothian's Louise Fraser of Kingsknowe who played immaculate golf all week and was only beaten in the quarter finals by Megan Briggs of Kilmacolm on the 19th.
