A Good Day out at Kingsfield

Players from the MCLGA Squad teamed up with the Development Squad to play in a 4 Ball Better Ball Stableford at Kingsfield on Sunday 19th February.
The weather was fine for a February day and spirits were high.
Sharon MacPherson organised the couples, explained the format and acted as starter.  The girls were a bit daunted by playing with our stars and having to be scorekeepers but coped admirably with both.
A big thank you to Sarah Ledingham and Lisa MacPherson who stepped in to help the senior squad.
Scores were close with Jennifer and Jessica pushing the winners Alison and Ella.

2017 Subscriptions and latest news...

Hi Ladies,

On behalf of our Captain, Jacky and the rest of the committee, I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish you all the very best for 2017 and hope that you all have a great golfing season ahead.

2017 looks to be an exciting time in Midlothian County Golf and as you will know I have just sent out our subscriptions last week by email.  We have a few members who are not on email and so the subscriptions were sent out a few days ago and should reach you shortly.

In addition to the usual stroke play competitions and our meetings, we are holding our bi-annual Tri-Am on 8th August at Murrayfield.  Entry forms and further information will be available soon, so keep an eye on the website.

I'm sure you will be aware that we are trialling a different format for our Championship Qualifying this year.  This is being held at Turnhouse GC on Sunday, 16th April.  This is an 18 hole qualifier and is open to all categories with the knockouts being held at the end of April.

I look forward to seeing you all in the coming months, on and off the golf course.
For now, best wishes
Lisa
Secretary

Missing a scarf from the AGM...

A grey/cream scarf/wrap was left at the AGM last Thursday - we think from someone who was sitting near the front.  If it belongs to you, could you please contact myself or Zandra Mathieson.
