Helen Holm

What fantastic scoring has been recorded at the Helen Holm, being held at Troon Portland and Royal Troon this weekend. With the winning score being 10 under par, the MCLGA players have all done themselves proud. Jane Turner (Craigielaw) led the MCLGA players with a very creditable 5 under par over the 3 rounds. She recorded a 1-under, 74, and a 3-under, 72, round Troon Portland and another 1-under, 74, on Royal Troon to finish in 9th position. Next up was Rachael Watton (Mortonhall) who, on her second visit to the Helen Holm, finished in 11th position with rounds of 75, 74 and 72 and a total of 4-under par. Thirdly, Gabrielle Macdonald (Craigielaw), on her first visit to the west coast competition, finished in 31st position on 5 over par after rounds of 1-over, 4-over and level par. With 68 players in total, to have all three girls in the top half of the results table is a fabulous result. Well done to you all.
