Karen is East Vets Champion

Congratulations to Past Captain Karen Ballantyne (Craigmillar Park) who won the East Vets Championship at Haddington Golf Club on 19th July.

It was an all Midlothian affair from the semi finals and all matches were keenly contested.

Karen beat Anne Brownie(Mortonhall) at the 19th in the first semi final with Jennifer Bryans (Harburn) defeating Anne Hanson(Glencorse)  4&2 in the other.

The final between Karen and Jennifer could have gone either way but just when it looked like extra holes, Karen sunk a long putt on the 18th green to emerge the winner by 1 hole.
Well done, Ladies!
