Midlothian v Lanarkshire on Sunday 29th March.

On a wet and windy day on the moorland course of Lanark, Midlothian played Lanark in three senior and two junior matches. Tracy Laughland, our President, stepped in at the last moment as firstly Wendy Nicholson had to withdraw mid week then her replacement, Arlene McGurty took ill over night.  Alison McBride and Tracy won 4 and 3.   Linda Caine and Karen Frerguson followed with a convincing 5 and 4 win.  Emma Morrison and Eilidh Crawford maintained our unbeaten performances with a half.
Our juniors performed equally well with Samantha MacGregor leading the way in the singles followed by Emily Rigg and Lucy Morrison winning easily in the foursomes.
This was a very good result over a challenging course made harder by a cold wind with spells of rain and sleet.

Midlothian V. Vets at Baberton on 22nd March

It started off a really cold and blustery day but the temperature rose throughout the match ending in a lovely sunny day. It was a very friendly match played in great spirit.

Some great golf was played by both sides but this year the Scottish Vets came out on top winning by three games to one. Made up for yesterday for Scotland!

Very many thanks to Baberton for the use of their course. And a special thanks to their Lady Captain for coming to see us off. It was very much appreciated.

Lastly a big thanks to the Vets for treating us to lunch afterwards.
